{"id":4691,"date":"2022-03-07T13:38:22","date_gmt":"2022-03-07T11:38:22","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/filosofieromaneasca.institutuldefilosofie.ro\/sifr\/?page_id=4691"},"modified":"2022-03-16T20:50:30","modified_gmt":"2022-03-16T18:50:30","slug":"evaluation-process","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/filosofieromaneasca.institutuldefilosofie.ro\/sifr\/evaluation-process\/","title":{"rendered":"Evaluation process"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"evaluation-process\">Evaluation process<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"preconditions\">Preconditions<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p>In order to be considered, the manuscript must comply to the following requirements:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>The<a href=\"https:\/\/filosofieromaneasca.institutuldefilosofie.ro\/sifr\/language\/en\/for-authors\/\/formating-requirements\"> <\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/filosofieromaneasca.institutuldefilosofie.ro\/sifr\/for-authors\/#formatting-requirements\">formatting requirements<\/a>;<\/li><li><a href=\"https:\/\/filosofieromaneasca.institutuldefilosofie.ro\/sifr\/wp-content\/uploads\/SIFR-Referencing-style.pdf\">Publication&#8217;s guidelines and referencing style<\/a>;<\/li><li><a href=\"https:\/\/filosofieromaneasca.institutuldefilosofie.ro\/sifr\/for-authors\/#good-academic-practice\">The principles of good academic practice<\/a>;<\/li><li>The basic rules of Romanian\/English grammar.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"preliminary-evaluation\">Preliminary evaluation<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p>Editors of <strong>Studies on the History of Romanian Philosophy<\/strong> perform a preliminary evaluation of the manuscripts, based on the following criteria:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>The adequacy of the manuscript to the publication&#8217;s area of interest and to the announced topic(s);<\/li><li>The quality of the bibliography;<\/li><li>The quality of the writing: clearness, coherence and accuracy are appreciated, while sententious statements, prolixity and excessive quoting are deemed undesirable.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Following the evaluation, the author may be asked to make language corrections and content changes. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The manuscript must meet the above criteria in order to be accepted.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"review-and-peer-review\">Review and peer review<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p>Once the preliminary evaluation is completed and corrections have been made, the manuscript is reviewed by one of the scientific editors and peer reviewed by at least one external specialist in the field. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The reviewers assess the paper using the following criteria:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Originality and significance of the paper;<\/li><li>Clear presentation of goals, delimitation of the topic, structuring of ideas;<\/li><li>Mastery of relevant literature and critical approach to it;<\/li><li>Clarity and soundness of argumentation.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-file\"><a id=\"wp-block-file--media-6f7a5018-41c5-45d5-a2b6-e5c9178e611b\" href=\"https:\/\/filosofieromaneasca.institutuldefilosofie.ro\/sifr\/wp-content\/uploads\/SIFR-Peer-review-evaluation-form.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Download the review \/ peer review form<\/a><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Peer review is a voluntary service and can be a lengthy process.
